Designed for creative boarders looking to surf the whole mountain with its versatile, fun, and directional pow shape, the Drop offers reliable edge hold and forgiving catch-free contact points to help you quickly evolve your style and technique. The snowboard philosophy with the Drop under your feet is simple – a versatile shape, more volume, less stress, and more fun on any type of terrain.
The Drop speaks for itself. Its effortless float in the powder, combined with a precise and quick snap to do slashes, tight and perfect turns on fresh groomers, or just navigating yourself through sneaky tree runs, is unique. Flex: 6/10
Board Type: All Mountain - Freeride - Powder
Ability Level: Intermediate - Advanced
Shape: Directional
Features:
Cam-Out Camber:
Cam-out camber is basically positive camber with earlier and smoother transition zones in the tip and tail. This gives the board a lower rise in the centre, resulting in a fun and responsive ride with easier turn initiation and more forgiveness, giving you the benefits of camber without the aggression.
Standard Core Profile:
Even flex and control.
Powercore Core:
Performance Driven 100% Woodcore.
Dual Degressive Sidecut:
A smaller radius sidecut in the centre along with two larger ones in the tip and tail make it feel loose, playful, and the most forgiving sidecut in the Nitro range.
Bi-Lite Laminates:
Bi-Lite Laminates have fibers running in two directions, providing strength, power, and a forgiving board feel.
Sintered EcoSpeed HD Base:
Sustainable, Durable and Fast.
ABS Sidewall:
The ABS Sidewall is flexible and impact resistant so your board's core can stay protected from the elements and damage.
Recycled Steel Edge:
By using recycled steel you get an eco-friendly and strong edge.
Power Pods:
Nitro Power Pods extend out a little under your feet, which gives you a tighter sidecut radius between your feet, and a larger one out towards the nose and tail. They also help focus pressure, so that you can get a better grip on hard and icy snow.
2x4 Inserts:
These offer a tighter hole pattern, allowing for more precise stance adjustments. They're common on modern boards and ideal for riders who want fine-tuned positioning and can be used with any binding with a standard or mini disk.
Additional Features:
Made with 100% solar energy
FSC responsibly sourced forestry certified
Water based inks
Recycled raw materials
Carbon footprint: 26.2 kg CO2
So this is a tricky area. A lot of variation based on riding style, ability, gender; some boards your ride a little shorter or longer than standard. But use this chart as a good basis, and feel free to get in touch about any specific board sizing for your needs.
To decide between two sizes, choose the smaller size if your priority is maneuverability and freestyle performance, choose the larger size if you're focused on riding fast and powder performance. A shorter board will be easier to turn and a longer board will offer better float and stability riding off-piste.
