Well, seems like now is as good as any time, to introduce the NZ Shred 'Winter Team' for 2024.

Nat

Starting with our carry-over Staff Member, Nat.

Hailing from Canada and having now spent over a year in New Zealand now, Nat was with us as our primary Salesperson over the 23'/24' Summer period.

Squeezing in a quick trip over to Japan in February, for some snowboarding in the yuki, Nat returned to her position with us, for the rest of the summer period ... and, has now folded into a position for the coming Winter.

It's great to have Nat stay around and be able to gain an extension on her Work Visa. She brings a vibrance and energy to the shop-space, as well as technical expertise in the social media realm - that we all know, the two owners are rubbish at!!!

Keenly getting into skateboarding over the summer period, Nat is angling towards getting a solid knowledge of the snow product we carry and the chance to get onto some Demo opportunities up at the Remarks & Coronet Peak. Her keenness to learn and eagerness to get 'feet on snow' is contagious and welcomed in the shop space.

Brooke

Next one on for Winter 2024 is our first returner, Brooke. Originally from the North Island of New Zealand, Brooke has spent snow time in New Zealand, as well as Falls Creek, Australia & Canada ... most recently though, she spent the Northern Hemisphere Winter in Myoko Kogen, Japan.
Brooke's new game for our winter, is getting into Splitboarding. Having done some splitting before and introduced herself to some side & back-country riding in Japan, she has secured herself a Jones Stratos split & bindings for this winter and can't wait to get out behind the Remarks for some playtime.

Rachel

Now, on to our second returner, Rachel. Freshly back from another winter in France, Rachel & her partner Alec are super keen to get back into their winter jobs for this season - with us at NZ Shred (and Snowboard Workshop, for Alec).

Even as we fold-in our Winter staff, and as business levels require, all the girls have been able to attend numerous Tech Nights, that have been tee'd-up with the various brands. We do this each pre-Winter, as a means of up-skilling on details and developments from various styles, models & brands.

The Rest of Us!!!

Oh, I almost forgot ... there's two older fella's (one older than the other), that will also be in & around the shop (Jon & his side-kick, Jase). After both getting a chance to sneak off to Japan over summer as well, and now getting all the great new product in the shop ... we can't wait to show our customers, engage with all those people dropping by for some advice or a peruse, and getting up the hills and playing in the snow, as well!

Of course, we'll also have our series of Shop Ambassadors (Ryan Quirke & The Crew at Camp3, Wanaka), Team Riders (Brooke Hansen & Kira Sabin) and Shop Associates (Nick, Aabhi & E.J.) to keep the brands and the vibe alive on the mountains.

We're ALL looking forward to Winter 2024 and can't wait to see you at some stage Instore and Up the Hills.
