The Optisym was inspired by all those snowboarders who enjoy turning everything, even a groomed run, into a playground, switching from airtime tricks to flat ground tricks within seconds. This snowboarding style is probably the most relatable and achievable freestyle snowboarding - which is why we decided to make a board for the flatlands - the dreamers - the Optisym.

Equipped with a brand new heelside core technology, called the Powerwall, which provides more durability and strength to the heel sidewall and more agility when on your heel edge, something unique to the asymmetrical snowboard shape philosophy. The Optisym´s mid-wide shape reduces toe and heel drag, which is essential for progressing your carves, butters, and flatland tricks. The overall asymmetrical twin shape and Dual Degressive sidecut allows for endless control when carving and navigating the entire mountain. The Cam-Out Camber and Whiplash Core Profile allow for quick and high ollie power while maintaining a flex pattern in the nose and tail that will enable you to hold butters like a pro. Free Freight is offered on New Zealand deliverable orders of over $300.

Our shipping rates are based on the cost of your combined purchases.

As a general rule, orders will be dispatched from our Queenstown store, on the next business day after payment is received. Sometimes, we might achieve same day dispatch, however this is not guaranteed. All orders are freighted via standard security freight, utilising several different Third Party couriers. The courier used will depend on product ordered and the delivery address. Dispatch will usually take 1-3 business days from leaving our store. Freight for items/destinations outside of normal regions, should be negotiated prior to dispatch.

Click and Collect - With online purchases, the customer has an option to personally collect from our NZSHRED store at 19 Shotover Street, Queenstown. These purchases are freight & handling free-of-charge.

Please note all solid Watersports boards (eg: Paddleboards, Surfboards, Wakeboards & Skates) are generally Click and Collect ONLY. We can on occasions quote on freighting of these to New Zealand destinations. This cost will be 100% incurred by the customer.

So this is a tricky area. A lot of variation based on riding style, ability, gender; some boards your ride a little shorter or longer than standard. But use this chart as a good basis, and feel free to get in touch about any specific board sizing for your needs.

To decide between two sizes, choose the smaller size if your priority is maneuverability and freestyle performance, choose the larger size if you're focused on riding fast and powder performance. A shorter board will be easier to turn and a longer board will offer better float and stability riding off-piste.
